Why I am writing to you today, is to congratulate you on your wonderful travel literature, your book “The More I See”. I could not put the book down while I was reading it. It is so well and interestingly written that I felt the privilege of travelling with you to all these wonderful destinations. Again, my compliments. Your writing is so colourful and makes every destination come alive. I will order a few copies through Amazon and give them as presents to friends who are interested in travel.
What a great read. Well done. Maybe because I know you, but I felt like I was there. Such awesome experiences, good and a couple sketchy ones.
My somewhat limited travel experiences surely are memorable, especially the crazy drivers. I have always respected the cultures I have visited and your stories reinforced that. I especially liked your “big bird” ride. Grab the wings and hang on! lol Easy read. Very well done.
This is just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed your memoir, “The More I See”. Reading about your trips to places we’ve been and especially those we haven’t made your account very pleasing. My wife Barb and I were only on one trip with you, the river cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam, and I’m glad it made it into your book. Although we had the delays from the damaged lock, it was our first and only river cruise and we were thrilled with it. We have a wealth of memories that can keep us entertained for years. Thanks for putting your stories on paper for us.
I much enjoyed reading this book. It brought back many memories of 13 trips I have taken described in this book. It was easy to remember the exacts places and sites accompanying the in detail descriptions in the book. The style is pleasant and always positive. I also liked the chapters of comments about her trips and her opinions about how it is important to see the world to understand how the world turns. Yes « The More I See » the more I realize I know not much of how the world turns.
It is very evident that Donna Rombough’s love of travel was the key to her success as a guide. I often thought that it must be a very tough job guiding 25 old farts….
Thank you Donna…..your book is a heartfelt hommage to your love of travel and your understanding and patience with your clients.
I have been meaning to tell you that I have really enjoyed your book. I could totally hear your voice telling me the story as I was reading it 😁 Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventures!
Sunday was Mother’s Day and I was thrilled to receive your book from Dorelle. It’s wonderful and I’m thrilled to have it. I was on five of those trips with you and about seven others with Craig. You must take amazing notes. I just loved every one of those holidays. Your book is a real treasure. Thank you for writing it! You made much better use of the pandemic time than I did!
I just what to let you know that I bought your book and enjoyed reminiscing with you. I was able to relate to several of your memories! It was a nice break while I was in quarantine. I suffered less than having a bad cold so having the book to read brought back some fond memories.
I finished your book – so enjoyed it. Had trouble putting it down. The places you’ve seen – wow. And the stories – oh my gosh. A sense of humour for sure! Chile and Argentina sounded amazing. I’d pass on China.

Your book arrived in the mail on Thursday. I am really enjoying it and like your style of writing about your adventures over the years. Of course, the first two stories that I had to check out were Japan and Sri Lanka since those are trips that I did with you. After reading those, I went back to the beginning and will read every single word. I like that each story is short enough that I can read a few each day while having my breakfast. I think you must have more stories in you and that you should start planning Volume 2. After a little break that is!
Congratulations to you for accomplishing such a feat! We will definitely be ordering one of your books. I am the world’s worst traveller as I suffer from motion sickness due to an inner ear issue. So, I’ll be able to travel vicariously through the experiences that you have lived and captured in your book.
Looking forward to reading about your adventures.

Donna has captured the essence of many destinations and added personal experiences to bring her book to life.
Wow! Wow! Wow! Thursday the book I ordered arrived and I couldn’t wait to start reading it. Yesterday while snow was gently falling once again, I got myself comfortable and delved into the pages of your travel memoir “The More I See”. Congratulations! You did it. Bravo! This was so well done. Your book resonated with me on so many levels. Your travel experiences came through so clearly in your descriptions of the various journeys and adventures. So many incredible experiences! The accompanying quotes were well chosen too.
I thoroughly enjoy the way you write because it is so heartfelt. I’m taking my time reading it as I want to savour the charm of each of the chapters (and heed some of the advice!) It is definitely inspirational and I, too, will always endeavor to travel like a H.E.R.O. and hopefully, sometimes with you as the consummate leader.
I have just completed your book, which I found to be interesting and well written , with humour and many useful travel tips.
I’ve got the book – haven’t started reading it yet, but a quick scan showed me that it’s going to be good!
Congratulations on getting your book published! Sounds like you made excellent use of the lockdown!
